Elton raises £2m in one night
Singer Elton John and partner David Furnish raised $4.2m (£2.14m) for The Elton John AIDS foundation at their Oscars party last night.
The 15th annual party was treated to a duet between Elton and James Blunt. The celeb guest-list was massive:
Jon Bon Jovi, Sharon Stone, Ozzy & Sharon Osbourne, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Sheryl Crow, Keifer Sutherland, Naomi Campbell, Simon Cowell, Macy Gray, Eric McCormack, Gloria Estefan, John Waters, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Bernie & Heather Taupin, and Tim Allen were all there, according to nytimes.com
The wife of footballer David Beckham also attended.
A private football lesson with Becks was one of the lots auctioned.
Never seen Elton John on concert, I was not going to see it, Elton John tickets got sky rocked thanks to stupid brokers. But even if I had seen it, I wouldn't buy it. I'd rather wait and see it on DVD. Well suprise I changed my mind and I got 2 tix for the Elton John show I was looking for tickets thanks god there sites like Ticketwood which work as comparators here is the site
