Rufus Wainwright, the gay singer/songwriter, has explained his clichéd obsession with Judy Garland by saying: "Me and Judy have got the same cheekbones and we both like gay men a lot."
On Sunday he recreated Garlands famous 1961 comeback concert at Manhattan's Carnegie Hall. He performed the show at the London Palladium.
Wainwright, 33, admitted: "As a child I dressed up in an apron as Dorothy on good days. On bad days I put on my mother's fine gowns and became the melting wicked Witch."
He could probably charge people more to see that show than he could to hear him sing.
