Every few years or so, designers reclaim the humble backside as an ironic artistic inspiration.
Super-chic Spanish furniture publishers ABR are no exception.
The latest rear-end related offering is a new chair from ARB, lovingly sculpted by designers Ramon Ubeda and Otto Canalda in the shape of a plump and perfectly-formed pair of buttocks.
The two (designers, not buttocks) have dubbed the seat "Cul is cool," adopting the Spanish slang for "backside:" a quick and easy way to lend adult novelty items a little European panache.
Reminiscent of accessories from the set of La Cage aux Folles, the chair is available in marble or black basalt, and its design has been described by its creators as: "a recognisable and highly organic shape for a fun versatile seat."
ABR also produce such gems of design as the Virgin of Memory, USB sticks in the shape of the Virgin Mary (buttocks thankfully concealed) and Feel-Thrus known to the lay population as folding screens.
Ikea this is not.

They look kinda mad, but how comfortable are these chairs?
I'm sure they would be a conversation piece.
