David Miliband "flattered" to be a gay icon

Davidmiliband_2
First it was Channel 4 news hunk Jon Snow. Now it seems that twinky Environment minister David Miliband has been outed as a gay icon.

Last year gay comedian Julian Clary wrote in the New Statesman that he found Miliband, 41, sexy.

"Quite attractive, especially when he undoes his top button at fringe meetings. Puts me in mind of a bit of rough from Liverpool,'' wrote Clary, who clearly has rose-tinted views of the Liverpudlian working class.

The Daily Telegraph have picked up on these 2006 comment - er - towards the end of March 2007,  and say that PinkNews "regularly" contrasts Mr Miliband's healthy gay voting record against that of Chancellor Gordon Brown.

Being a serious news organisation, PinkNews would never consider phoning the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and asking trivial questions about ministers being gay icons.

So luckily the Torygraph did it for us.

"I'm sure David will be very flattered to learn this," was the response.

So he should be.

With Adam Rickitt and Zac Goldsmith, not to mention hunky Barnet councillor Mike Freer, on their way to Westminster, Mr Miliband's reputation as MP most likely to set gay pulses racing is in serious danger.

And for the record, Mr Miliband was ABSENT from the Commons vote on the Sexual Orientation Regulations on Monday, though his brother Ed did vote for gay rights.

Yes.

Ed. Elected May 5th 2005. Made a Treasury minister on May 5th 2006. All eyes on May 5th 2007 then.

Bit of a high-flyer that one.

Personally, I prefer Norman Tebbit and would love to do wicked things to him with an alter candle. Phwoar!

It's not like we have a shortage of gay candidates at the next election, either. Check out this listing of openly gay parliamentary candidates: http://users.ox.ac.uk/~linc1835/gaycandidates.html.

Perhaps he is more than a gay icon? Odd the way he and his wife run over to the States to buy babies for adoption. Got to look the 'family' man haven't we, Dave?

The whole cabinet is at it

David Milliband is SO sexy...reminds me of the lead guy in Prison Break...same kind of sexy eyes...love to shag him. Also check out Jim Knight..Education Minister..another very shagable guy.....wish we saw more of him on TV
