The last episode of children's programme Doctor Who is to be shown on the same day as London Pride - what's to do?
Stay at home and watch the children's programme? Or go out and party with tens of thousands of fellow homos, at least some of whom are likely to be attractive?
Pride London, knowing that no television programme is ever repeated in the UK, have solved this dilemma by announcing they're to show the final episode on the big screen in Trafalgar Square.
Phew. Actor John Barrowman will be talking about his role in Doctor Who earlier in the day.
Ok ok, here is the serious bit:
The
Pride London Main Stage is hosted by Graham Norton, John Barrowman, Amy
Lamé,
Gaydar Radio’s Jamie Crick and Lucio from Capital Radio.
Confirmed
artists
include Darren Hayes, Unklejam, The Axe Girls, Kelly and the Kelly
Girls and
many more.
From London’s West End the show will also feature extracts
from ‘Wicked’ and Andrew
Lloyd Webber's 'Joseph'. Also appearing are leading politicians and
LGBT
activist speakers from around the world.
The
programme starts at 3.00 in Trafalgar Square following the
Pride Parade from Oxford
Street and
finishes with the Doctor Who screening at 7.10. The bars will remain
open
throughout the day.
Hurrah! Drink!
Also note that it wil be the last day patrons will be able to smoke inside gay bars - that Patricia Hewitt, nanny-knows-best smoking ban comes into effect on the 1st July.
PinkNews.co.uk has officially never heard of these people:
Unklejam, The Axe Girls, Kelly and the Kelly
Girls
which is a sure sign we are getting old.
