Gay character not modelled on Becks

Beckham

There were rumours David Beckham would appear as a gay character on Desperate Housewives, which were quickly dispelled.

Now, former girl bander Kerry Katona is writing a semi autobiographical book which includes a gay character who is Beckham-esque and who she says has a “real bitch of a wife”.

Katona was part of the marginally successful British girl band Atomic Kitten, but was forced to leave the group after she became pregnant.

She then went on to become a high profiled troubled celebrity a la Britney Spears and starred in I’m a Celebrity, Get Me out of Here!

After more public scandal, including refusing drug tests for the safety of her children, Katona now works as a columnist for the popular OK! Magazine.

Last year, she published her autobiography about growing up a celebrity, Too Much, Too Young.

While this second book is supposed to be fictional, Katona claims that there are similarities between the characters and her real life.

In a her column, she made reference to the former Spice Girl and current wife of David Beckham stating,

“Sometimes I find it very hard to understand Victoria Beckham. Her walking out of the Ritz Hotel in Paris was so sad and desperate.”

The quote was in response to Victoria’s appearance at the Hotel in Paris where Princess Diana was seen leaving moments before her tragic death.

Katona claimed that Posh was deliberately dressed like Princess Di on the day of her death to grab the paparazzi’s attention.

Her new book has a gay character that many believe is based on the world famous footballer, but Katona explained to Now magazine: "I love the Beckhams, so I would never do that!"
