Embracing the attitude that there's not much 'gayer than Christmas',
London Bears Club Tonkers decided on an unusual method of sending out
their seasons greeting this year.
Hiring space on the revolving
billboard above Vauxhall station, which faces Europe's busiest road
junction, they erected a huge poster of a reclining porn performer.
Above him was their Christmas message with details of the club, which takes place at the Eagle every Friday.
What British Gas and Canon Printers, the other advertisers on the board thought, hasn't been reported.
But seeing as it's Vauxhall, they can be guaranteed more than a
few up-turned eyes saw their posters than would otherwise have done.
It is thought to be the first time in the UK that a gay club night has advertised on a billboard.
