Singer asserts his heterosexuality

Hey, you should check out this guy, he is, like, SO alternative and cool.
He really doesn't care what anyone thinks about him!
Daniel Johns, lead singer of band Silverchair, is normally having his ego licked by the indie music press.
They were suitably fawning over the fact that he wore a "lacy garter on stage" as proof of how he, like, doesn't CARE what anyone thinks of him.
Except that Johns, who recently split from wife Natalie Imbruglia, felt moved to tell his audience of Australian sophisticates during a concert in Melbourne:
"I am not fucking gay."
He really is soo cool - he just so clearly doesn't CARE what ANYONE thinks. Rock n roll.
Meanwhile the singer of another popular Australian band, Faker, has been talking about his sexuality - he is definitely on the gay.
Nathan Hudson told Sunday Magazine :
"I'm happy to talk about it, for that kid who's 15 and
scared. My association with being gay was that it was bad and dark and
not good for you. I had trouble finding people to look up to.
"I'm talking about this to be a bit freer. It's something that
shouldn't matter and, on a lot of levels, it doesn't - I hope the music
we make transcends that. Still it's nice to be able to say this stuff."
Good work.

I am now a Faker fan.

It's nice that Daniel feels safe enough to come out as Hetero, I mean, so often you can't tell just by looking...
