Following the Snickers incident with a Mr T ad being pulled from UK screens after US queens complained it was hostile to gays, some people in this country have take exception to this cartoon from nationally distributed free paper Metro, published yesterday.
Do you think this is anti-gay? And what does it mean?
That this man thought he was gay, but then realised that because he did not in fact want to see Mamma Mia, he must be straight?
All very confusing.
Anyway, you can join the debate here.

who cares other than people who want to remove freedom of speech?

Well, I'm gay as the day is long, and I don't want to see Mama Mia the movie. Does that mean I'm really straight???? Confused.

Im gay and I do not want to see Mama Mia either - I didn't get into Abba's music the first time. I also do not follow Cher, Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals or any other candy pop music to be honest. Does that mean Im a homophobic homo? Maybe this guy hated the thought of seeing Mama Mia so much he chose his hetero option as he was obviously thinking he was gay beforehand. This is a step forward I guess. At least he didn't say he thought of himself as a MSM - Men who have Sex with Men or some other politically correct title that protects man loving straight men from being labelled gay! I think this comic was intended as innocent humour however in light of global homophobia I have say good comic strip - unstable social environment for this humour.

Not wanting to see a movie is far different from suggesting 2 men kissing is gross or that a man speed walking is a sissy.
Those commercials are a insult

Let's be honest: if you read 'Metro', then trying to figure out the many levels on which this utterly hilarious cartoon clearly operates is not likely to be one of your priorities.

Mmmmm...well you know the hair styles and the shirt colours are a bit of a give away.
In addition I am a bit concerned at how quickly the guy on the left is drinking.
Lets hope he's not hiding something.LOL!

If you badly want to see Mamma Mia you're gay. If you don't you're merely homosexual :)
