Boy George, the controversial pop star, says that he has ended his long-standing feud with fellow gay singer Elton John.
The former Culture Club singer told the Sunday Express: “Elton offered me love and support from both himself and David [Furnish]. He also sent me a lovely music player."
George fell out with Elton after calling him a "humourless, grand old dame" to the press.
“I did have a falling out with Elton a few years ago because I was being a bitch, but we made up and we’re really good friends again," George said.
He also said how Elton had sent him a note of support after he was jailed in 2007 after attacking a male escort.
Elton was not the only celeb to send his love - George said he also received letters from Stephen Fry, Matt Lucas and Antony Hegarty.
George said: "The only time I got emotional in prison was when I got letters from friends."

I have met Boy George during his stay in NYC nightlife (2003-2005). And he is truly a "humourless, grand old dame". Without Culture Club under his belt. You truly see nothing. Looking above though is a big hat, tons of MAC make-up, rabbit teeth, and a snare. Get her a vodka cranberry quick. This one is going to take away your camera phone or dear not eat in front of you for obvious reasons. Not to mention. Do You Really Want To Hurt Me? Well, you don't have a problem doing it to male escorts who have had enough of your little Irish/British willie belly button. You are fierce. But you need to be better to the Blitz Kids worldwide. I'm just saying.

my record label released a Boy George single in Oz and we brought Boy George out on a promo tour. The dreary 'possum insisted on getting around to radio/TV etc in a limousine......not a good look in egalitarian Australia. He also had a nasty temper and it was the last time we dealt with him.

Many moons ago, my friends and I happened across Boy George in a club. I'm not the groupie type, but I do enjoy some of his music. He was there with a friend. He was delightful all evening - despite the constant, and I mean CONSTANT approaches of people. Some fans were lovely and delighted to see their heroine. Others were obnoxious, arrogant, egotistical, and set on giving him a bad time. Everyone wanted a piece of his action.
He's been a naughty boy - haven't we all - one way or another. And, unlike most, he's paid the price many times over.
It's not fair of me to make judgements based on this, and a couple of subsequent meetings - but he's no more a drama queen than dozens of people I've worked with.

BIg Up For George , the man is a living LEGEND , and deserves to be treated as such , with some respect , the bitchy comments from persons who have done nothing are just sour grapes from bitter queens who should get over themselves and get a life

I think Elton John wrote the sexier music though, and if it came down to just music then Elton John has Boy George beat
